Homemade Ways to Exfoliate Skin Care.
In economically lean times, you may not be able to purchase your favorite facial scrub from the store or online because you’re on a tight budget. In this situation it’s a good idea to create your own facial and body scrubs that will exfoliate your skin and reduce acne and skin discoloration problems. You can use ingredients in your own pantry to create the beauty scrubs and some of these ingredients are in your garden. It’s affordable to use homemade scrubs since many of the ingredients can be purchased on sale at the local supermarket.
Cornmeal is often used to make cornbread and polenta, but you can also use cornmeal for skin care. Cornmeal has vitamin C, calcium and potassium and this improves the quality of your skin. To make a facial scrub, combine a cup of cornmeal, honey, and four teaspoons of lemon juice then scrub your face with the mixture. Wash it off with warm water then moisturize your skin with yogurt. Salt is a common skin exfoliator and there are numerous ingredients you can use with salt for this reason. In a medium bowl combine an eighth cup of salt, three teaspoons of lemon juice and a teaspoon of milk and scrub your skin with a scrub brush. If you have raw sugar at home, combine a third cup of it along with five teaspoons of coconut oil and a teaspoon of rose water. Because tomatoes have alpha hydroxyl acid, this is good exfoliating your skin. Make a mixture of crushed tomatoes, four teaspoons of salt and a teaspoon of cucumber juice then rub on your face. Let it stay on your face for fifteen minutes then rinse. You can also make a scrub out of coffee grinds and coconut milk for your skin. A mixture of crushed strawberries, aloe vera and suga will eliminate the skin’s roughness while a mixture of avocados, milk powder and olive oil will moisturize your skin. Another idea is to make a recipe with flaxseed, honey and whole wheat flour. Peppermint oil, yogurt and crushed pecans will exfoliate your skin and you can also try a combination of crushed herbs, olive oil and sea salt. Finally, you can make a scrub out of seaweed, jojoba oil and lemon juice.
